Finch & Heron Interiors is a boutique interior architecture and design firm specializing in new construction, large-scale renovations, and luxury home developments. Operating a bi-regional practice based in the Greater Salt Lake area, we serve clients along Utah’s Wasatch Back, Dallas’s Cedar Creek Lake, and throughout the US.

We believe that a home should be intentionally grounded to its location and meaningful to the family whose legacy it holds, so we start with the site and approach the creation of a home as an act of stewardship. Understanding that building a second home or destination property is a massive undertaking, we serve as an advocate for our clients, bridging the gap between high-level construction and the reality of daily life. By navigating the technical nature of construction with transparency and professional grace, we ensure the process is as transformative as the final result, allowing the home to serve as an enduring backdrop for the people you love.

The Studio

A young woman with shoulder-length light brown hair smiling and looking to her right, sitting on a dark green couch in front of a plain light-colored wall.

Growing up in a small valley in Northern Utah, Rebecca was surrounded by nature. The mountains, meadows, and marshes of home taught her scale, proportion, color, and texture and developed her eye early on. Experiencing those places moved her to create environments that would move others in similar ways. Having spent years leading complex waterfront and second-home projects in Texas, Rebecca returns to Utah with a unique perspective, one where the meticulous tailoring of high-end design meets a deep, native stewardship for the landscape.

Rebecca’s approach is rooted in the belief that home is sacred. Her ever-evolving vernacular combines modern sensibilities with respect for the past, layering storied antiques and curated textures to render a family's story in spatial form. By listening to the land first, Rebecca creates site-specific sanctuaries that encourage meaningful memories and connection to people and place.
