The clients asked us to design a brand new 5500 sq.ft. house on the lake as a retreat for their family that was understated yet full of character and detail and include a subtle nod to the lake location. We used circular windows and arches throughout to add softness and counterbalanced it with linear forms and stone to give the sense of being grounded. We selected materials that were muted and textured for a sense of peace befitting the incredible location. Every aspect and detail of this project was carefully considered over the span of three years.
